The Mönna story
MÖNNA was founded on the island of Saaremaa and grew out of Moonstar OÜ, which has extensive and longstanding experience in textile product sewing services.
MÖNNA is run by a small family business, and what began simply from personal everyday needs and ideas gradually developed into something we wanted to share with others.
Our products are made from the finest and most natural materials possible and are thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail, always with the question in mind of whether it is something we ourselves would want to use or wear.
MÖNNA is proudly Saaremaa-born. All our products are handmade in Saaremaa. Our bursts of inspiration and ideas are just as Saaremaa-inspired and cosy as the picture of our MÖNNA family shown here.
For us, it is not only important what we create, but also how we create it – honestly, ethically and with care. We value our employees, the environment and our customers, offering care and consideration at every possible step.
What makes Mönna Mönna?
Carefully selected fabrics
For us, the most important qualities of a fabric are its skin-friendliness and natural feel. We choose all materials primarily based on the kind of bed linen we ourselves would like to sleep in and the fabrics that are gentle enough for the youngest members of our family. That is why the origin of the fabric and the way it is produced are important to us. All our fabrics also carry OEKO-TEX certifications, and we are gradually striving towards ensuring that the fabrics we source have as small an environmental footprint as possible.
Pure beauty hand in hand with practicality and comfort
We believe that all our products should be comfortable, soft and simply so cosy that even we can no longer do without them. For example, Tencel bed linen has completely won over our entire family – and quite irreversibly so. But in addition to comfort, we also place great value on practicality, which is why with every product development we try to consider even how to make an apparently simple task such as changing bed linen even easier and more enjoyable.
Local quality
Quality is extremely important to us, and this is not something we compromise on. The long lifespan and quality of our products are ensured by an excellent team in which every person has an important role. Ideas can be generated easily, but the real work happens behind the scenes. As long as we are able to support and value our people, we will also be able to maintain the quality of our products. All our products are made in Saaremaa.
Freedom
Today, MÖNNA’s range mainly includes home textiles, bed linen and nightwear, but knowing our passion for exciting and high-quality products, it is entirely possible that from tomorrow our product range may include something completely different. Our creative process works in such a way that when we come up with an idea we genuinely love ourselves, it usually becomes reality, and we are more than happy to share it with others. It is a wonderfully liberating feeling, and that is exactly what makes MÖNNA, MÖNNA.
