Fabric care
To ensure that your newly purchased bed linen or other garment remains durable and beautiful even after many trips through the washing machine, it is extremely important to follow the care instructions intended for each fabric. And these instructions have not been included on the labels without reason.
In case you have removed the labels or are unsure how to wash a particular item, we have made things a little easier for you.
Main recommendations before washing:
- Always close all zips, press studs, buttons and other fastenings.
- Turn the laundry inside out whenever possible.
- Use the correct amount of detergent!!! If you use too much detergent with a short wash cycle, there is a high likelihood that detergent residue will remain in your laundry and may also be visible on darker fabrics.
- For delicate garments and products, especially underwear and silk items, use a laundry bag whenever possible.
Care instructions for the fabrics used in the MÖNNA product range:
Silk:
- Hand wash in cold water or use the delicate/silk wash programme in the washing machine.
- Maximum temperature 30°C
- Use a gentle enzyme-free detergent; ideally, use one specifically designed for silk.
- Do not use fabric conditioner; to preserve and brighten the colour, use a small amount of laundry vinegar.
- Use a laundry bag whenever possible
- Close all zips and other fastenings
- Dry in the shade. Silk must never be tumble dried.
- Iron on a low heat
- Do not bleach
Tencel:
- Delicate or gentle wash cycle
- Maximum temperature 30°C
- Use a gentle enzyme-free detergent; a detergent designed for silk is also suitable
- Do not use fabric conditioner; to preserve and brighten the colour, use a small amount of laundry vinegar.
- Close all zips and other fastenings
- Do not tumble dry.

On the right, you will also find a small visual guide to laundry care symbols, where we have brought together the most common care instruction symbols in case you need a reminder from time to time.
If you wish, you can also download and print this file and, for example, hang it on the wall or door of your laundry room. You’re welcome!
What makes Mönna Mönna?

Made in Saaremaa
quality
We love our country and our people. All our products are made in Saaremaa by a hardworking and dedicated small team, ensuring the quality of our products from the initial idea through to the finished stitching. Quality is something we will never compromise on.

Caring for yourself and the environment
We value naturalness and high-quality materials that are gentle on the skin and body, which is also what inspired the MÖNNA product range. We care about the environment and strive to minimise our footprint at every stage of the production process.

Practical
beauty
We love beautiful things. What’s especially nice is that many of our products are not only beautiful and comfortable, but also practical. For example, our new silk pillowcases feature a zip that opens on both sides for gentler and easier changing, and our silk duvet covers include additional ties to help keep the duvet in place. Sometimes it’s the little details that make everyday life more comfortable and more enjoyable.
